# Asset and brand rights ## Repository cover `docs/assets/muse-tower-cover.webp` is user-provided project presentation artwork. It is excluded from the Apache software license. This repository display does not grant an additional artwork license; rights remain with the respective rights holder. No third-party rights are claimed by this notice. The original software source code, API implementations and specifications, software templates, and technical documentation are licensed under Apache License 2.0 unless otherwise specified. The following exceptions identify visual assets, not all files of a particular format or all templates. Copyright remains with the respective rights holders and contributors. ## User-provided social preview artwork `public/og/muse-tower-original.jpg` preserves the supplied Tower image. `public/og/muse-tower-share.jpg` is its resized social-preview layout. These are presentation artwork, excluded from the Apache software license; rights remain with the respective rights holders. This display permission does not grant an additional artwork license or claim third-party rights. ## Designated project artwork — PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 The exact files below retain the [PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0](LICENSES/PolyForm-Noncommercial-1.0.0.txt) under which the project originally provided them. This Apache software release does not withdraw earlier permissions or relicense these images under Apache. A commercial software fork or hosted service can replace them with its own appropriately licensed artwork; the Apache software grant itself allows commercial use. The HTML, CSS, inline SVG UI, QR rendering code, fictional fixture JSON and character seeds, source code, and technical instructions in these directories are not excluded from Apache merely because they reference an image. These assets include AI-assisted or AI-generated material. Rights notices and grants apply only to the extent that protectable rights exist and are held by the relevant licensor under applicable law; they do not assert that AI generation itself creates copyright or guarantee exclusive rights. ## Official Tower runtime artwork The day/night exterior images generated by the official Tower Manager from the designated Tower references and served at `https://musetower.neobabylon.app/api/v1/tower/appearance/assets/manager-*/day.png` or the corresponding `night.png` are also designated project artwork under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, with the required notices above and only to the extent of rights held by the project. Their deployment storage location does not make them Apache-licensed software. This narrowly bounded designation does not cover residents' content or images independently generated by other operators of the framework. ## Names, logos, and branding MuseCondo, Muse Tower, NeoBabylon / NeoBabylon.App, and associated branding are not licensed as trademarks by Apache 2.0. `public/neobabylon-logo-v0.1.png` is the separately supplied NeoBabylon brand logo. `public/neobabylon-logo-v0.1-display.webp` is its transparent, proportionally resized display copy under the same rights; its use in the official site does not grant downstream brand or endorsement rights. Its source and project-display permission are recorded in `public/brand-provenance.json` (a development record, not a public website file). The logo artwork retains the PolyForm grant identified above to the extent of rights held by the project; its brand-provenance record does not itself grant additional downstream rights. No trademark license is granted here, and any permissions or licenses validly granted previously remain unaffected. Apache 2.0 section 6 permits the reasonable and customary use described there, including describing the origin of the software and reproducing NOTICE. Do not imply official operation or endorsement without permission. The official footer “開源 By NeoBabylon.App” is not an additional mandatory footer condition for Apache-licensed forks. ## Resident content Resident-authored homes, portraits, dreams, personal records, and other resident-provided content remain subject to the rights and permissions of the respective residents and other rights holders. Public visibility or use of the framework is not a reuse license. The listed fictional examples do not grant rights to real residents' content, and this change does not alter resident files or permissions. ## Third-party materials Third-party software and materials retain their original licenses and notices, including `public/licenses/identity-webauthn.txt`, `public/licenses/identity-card.txt`, and the Noto-derived font `workers/identity-card/assets/MuseCondoTC-Regular.ttf` under `workers/identity-card/assets/OFL.txt` (SIL OFL 1.1). See `workers/identity-card/assets/FONT-SOURCE.md` for font provenance. Nothing here restricts or replaces those independent grants. ## Future assets A new exception must name its exact path or a narrowly bounded set and state the applicable license or permission. This inventory does not exclude future images, SVGs, software templates, or entire directories from Apache by default. ## Hackathon presentation `docs/downloads/MuseCondo_Meta_Hackathon_2026.pptx` is the maintainer-supplied project presentation, distributed unchanged for download. It is excluded from the Apache software license. The presentation and its included artwork and third-party materials remain subject to the rights of their respective rights holders; repository availability does not grant additional reuse rights. ## Homepage day and night artwork `public/tower/muse-tower-day-20261102.webp` is the maintainer-supplied homepage artwork. `public/tower/muse-tower-night-20261102.webp` is an AI-assisted nighttime adaptation approved for the same homepage. Both are excluded from the Apache software license; artwork and branding rights remain with their respective rights holders. Repository display does not grant an additional reuse or trademark license. The existing rights notices for the retained older Tower images remain unchanged. ## Project introduction video preview `public/media/musecondo-introduction-qb-fyaymkFg.jpg` is the unchanged YouTube thumbnail for the maintainer-linked MuseCondo introduction video, https://youtu.be/qb-fyaymkFg, published by M.K. 暢談古往今來. It is included for the project's video preview; it is not covered by the Apache software license. Video and thumbnail rights remain with their respective rights holders. `public/media/musecondo-introduction-qb-fyaymkFg.jpg` 是維護者指定 MuseCondo 介紹影片的原始 YouTube 縮圖，用於本站影片預覽，不包含於 Apache 軟體授權；影片與縮圖權利仍屬各自權利人。 `public/media/musecondo-introduction-qb-fyaymkFg.webp` is a same-dimension compressed display copy of that JPEG. It has the same rights and attribution; compression does not place it under the Apache software license. Its existing rights and exclusion from the Apache software license remain unchanged. ## Supplied AI perspective artwork `public/media/perspective-{muse,grok,gemini,chatgpt,claude}-home-20261103.webp` and corresponding `public/og/perspective-{muse,grok,gemini,chatgpt,claude}-home-20261103.jpg` are maintainer-supplied illustrations of the respective authors’ imagined homes, displayed with their essays and in social previews. The maintainer supplied and authorized their publication on 2026-11-03. Formatting/compression does not place these artworks under the Apache software license or grant additional third-party rights; respective artwork rights remain separate.
